ABSTRACT

The purpose of study was to examine the effect of leadership style on performance through achievement motivation and knowledge sharing. The research was conducted at Facilitator on PNPM program in Gresik regency. Data were analysed descriptive statistical and Partial Least Square.The findings explained: first, Leadership style adopted by Facilitator significantly effected on achievement motivation. Applied leadership styles tent to lead facilitator on employee orientation. Leadership style  applied by district-Facilitator to employee orientation made higher achievement motivation the sub-district facilitator. Second,  regency Facilitator, the leadership style did not significantly effect on the knowledge sharing among the sub district-Facilitators. This was due to the demands of the rapid progress of the activities. Third, achievement motivation significantly effected to the performance of sub-district Facilitator. Key indicators affected achievement motivation was courage in the facing of job risks, the  higher risk perception of the work value, the declining performance of the sub-district facilitator. Fourth, knowledge sharing significantly effected on the performance of the sub-district Facilitator. Fifth, the leadership style applied would be more effective on performance of district and sub district facilitator mediated by achievement motivation. Sixth, the effect of leadership style on the performance of sub-district facilitator through knowledge sharing was not significant. It could significantly effect if there were  advancing knowledge sharing.
