PENGARUH KOMPENSASI DAN MOTIVASI TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI DI KABUPATEN GRESIK

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation and motivation to the performance of teachers at public elementary school in Gresik regency. The samples were 110 teachers, 52 was certified and 58 was non-certified. Data analysis technique was quantitative namely path analysis. The results of the quantitative analysis showed first, motivation was not significant influence on the performance certified nor non-certified teachers. Second, compensation was positive and significant impact on the performance of certifiedteachers but it was not onnon-certified teacher performance. Third, compensation and motivation simultaneously significant influenced to the performance of certified teachers but it was not significant on the performance of non-certified teachers. Finally, the indirect compensations was not significant effect to teachers’ performance through better motivation bothcertified and non-certified teachers. It could be suggested that the given compensation factor was the most dominant influenced on the performance of elementary school teachers which included compensation improvement such as salary, bonuses, incentives and special compensation in order to increase the performance of teachers.
