Monday, September 4 2023 - Internship students in the Center of Excellence (COE) tourism industry program at Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM) are gearing up for the second semester of their industry internship program at JatimPark, one of the leading tourist destinations in Malang Raya. After undergoing intensive classroom learning for six semesters, it's time for them to apply the knowledge and skills they've acquired in the real world of tourism.

During the transition period from the sixth theoretical semester to the seventh internship semester, COE UMM tourism industry internship students participate in several significant activities. Two noteworthy events are the PARIMAYA Gathering and the Traveloka MAMS Gathering. Both events are the result of collaboration between JatimPark Group, the Malang Raya Tourism Community (PARIMAYA), and Traveloka. They not only provide valuable insights to students but also help build essential networking connections in the tourism industry.

Apart from attending gatherings, the students are also actively involved in promoting the upcoming night fun run event scheduled for September. Their promotional efforts include participation in Car Free Day and the Tong Tong KulineRun Malang 2023. With high spirits, COE UMM internship students are committed to supporting the success of these events and increasing JatimPark's presence among the Malang Raya community.

However, their contributions are not limited to promotion alone. The students also have the opportunity to be involved in the preparation and execution of several upcoming events, including the night fun run event in September and the Halloween celebration in October. They will work from the planning stage to the event execution.

During this industry internship, COE UMM students receive guidance from experienced experts at JatimPark Group. This is a valuable opportunity for them to adapt to the working world in the tourism industry, which often presents unique challenges and dynamics.

With high spirits and enthusiasm, COE UMM internship students are ready to make a real contribution to the smooth operation and success of events at JatimPark. With classroom learning and field experience they gain, they will not only sharpen their tourism skills but also help strengthen JatimPark's position as a leading tourist destination in Malang Raya. We will continue to follow their progress during their internship period and see how they will contribute to creating unforgettable tourist experiences for JatimPark visitors.
