The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has brought us to an era where industrial processes can be simplified through automation systems. In pursuing efficiency, automation becomes an inevitable necessity, including in Supply Chain Management strategies. This strategy is crucial to consider in all aspects of the industry because no matter how good the strategy is, it will not run well if we fail to pay attention to human resources in the industry.
As an educated generation and drivers of change, we must be aware of these opportunities. We can be the answer to various problems that plague our country by providing influence and change from our insights and skills. This will encourage growth in the manufacturing industry sector to progress even more rapidly.
In order to face these challenges, Muhammadiyah Malang University (UMM) through the Management Study Program has designed a program called Center of Excellence (COE) Supply Chain Management. This program focuses on discussing how the manufacturing industry can run optimally. COE is an implementation of the Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka program.
The UMM Management Study Program has established partnerships with various partners in the manufacturing industry sector. These partners will later become a place for students to learn about how Supply Chain Management is applied in the industrial world. Students will be equipped by parties competent in the field of Supply Chain Management.
The program will last for 2 semesters, covering the learning agenda in the classroom with a duration of 1 semester, and internships in the second semester. The Head of the Management Study Program, Dr. Nurul Asfiyah, M.M., expressed her hope, "With the existence of a flagship program or Center of Excellence SCM (Supply Chain Management), students are able to fill the business world according to the real needs in the business world itself, and this is also in line with the UMM tagline, which is guaranteed to graduate on time, guaranteed to work, and guaranteed to be independent."
Thus, let us together take a role in facing the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and make the manufacturing industry sector a driving force for economic growth in our country.
