Saturday, July 8, 2023 - In a stunning display of entrepreneurial prowess, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) has once again emerged victorious at the national level, securing funding at the highly competitive Program Pembinaan Mahasiswa Wirausaha (P2MW) event, organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek RI). This prestigious program saw thousands of proposals from students across Indonesia, and FEB-UMM has proven its dominance by securing funding for not one, but a total of 13 teams.
Making the university proud, Corn'spaper, a team hailing from the FEB and spearheaded by the talented Angga Saputra from the Management program, along with four other members: Widia Sapitri, M. Omar Qilya Al Rizis, Annisa Puspita Sari, all from the Management program, and Andriyan Kristianto from the Economic Development program. Angga Saputra, the team's leader, reveals that they took part in the Manufacturing category, demonstrating the resilience and resourcefulness that defines the FEB-UMM students.

Utilizing corn husks, a commonly discarded agricultural waste material, Corn'spaper has ingeniously transformed this abundant resource into high-quality paper products. This endeavor holds significant importance in a region like East Java, which boasts the highest corn production in the nation, as affirmed by Suwandi, the Director General of Food Crops at the Ministry of Agriculture. This accolade solidifies Jawa Timur's position as the leading corn producer, which in turn ensures an ample supply of corn husks, conveniently accessible for Corn'spaper's operations. Located at Jl Joyo Agung 05, Merjosari, Kec.Lowokwaru, Kota Malang, Provinsi Jawa Timur, Corn'spaper has positioned itself strategically at the heart of this agricultural bounty.
