The Center of Excellence (CoE) program that the Management program was working on a few months ago has finally been completed and put into operation. The launch of the Center of Excellence Management Study Program and the guest conference took place offline in the BAU room. Students, management professors and representatives of partner companies participated in this CoE program. This launch activity took place from 08:00 to 13:00 WIB. The flagship classes that were successfully launched were Tourism and Hospitality, Supply Chain Management.
Dr. Idah Zuhroh, M.M., as Dean of FEB UMM, gave a keynote address stating that FEB UMM has worked with 10 partner companies of this CoE program. The entire CoE program is geared towards preparing top quality seeds for the nation's successors who are skilled and ready to compete in the industrial world. Students receive teaching materials for one semester and complete an internship at a partner company the following semester. The advantage of taking this CoE course is that students gain real experience in the industrial world which can be used as a prerequisite for starting entrepreneurs, having the possibility of working in partner companies and also having the possibility of working without thesis of doctorate.
The main activity began with the opening and the introduction by Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., continued as Chancellor of the UMM. Fauzan as he is known said that the implementation of this CoE solves the problem of demographic bonuses in the current era so that students have a more qualified ability to enter the contest. During the launch, Fauzan was accompanied by invited guests, namely the president of East Java IAI and the president of the city of Malang PHRI. The event continued with the presentation of some representatives of the partner companies. The launch and host conference of the Center of Excellence for Management Study Program went smoothly and hopefully together we can achieve the goal of establishing CoE.
