The Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) is taking an important step in its internationalization efforts in Malaysia. The Management Study Program and UMM FEB have established a partnership with Permai (Indonesian Society Association in Penang, Malaysia), a formal institution recognized by the Malaysian government. This collaboration includes the implementation of International Community Service, International Internships, and International Community Engagement.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of UMM FEB, the structural Management Study Program of UMM FEB, and UMM FEB lecturers who are currently pursuing doctoral programs at various universities in Malaysia. The Dean of UMM FEB, Dr. Idah Zuhroh, MM., stated that the lecturers sent to Malaysia were not only for school purposes but also to explore networking opportunities with various parties in Malaysia. "This activity is an effort to realize the internationalization vision of UMM FEB and its study programs, thus increasing international competitiveness," said Dr. Idah Zuhroh.
PERMAI highly appreciates the arrival and goodwill of UMM FEB. The Chairman of PERMAI, Edy Virgo Ng, and Agung Priatin, representing PERMAI, said that "we hope that this collaborative activity will be especially beneficial for the service to the Indonesian community, particularly Indonesian migrant workers, and for teaching children to obtain a decent education."
