Malang, July 07, 2023 - In another significant milestone for the Management Program, the Department of Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business of Muhammadiyah University Malang has recently attained international accreditation from FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation), following its AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance) certification in 2018.
The pursuit of internationalization has been a priority for the Management Program, aiming to create a conducive environment for offering the best opportunities to its students. In line with this vision, the program decided to pursue the FIBAA international accreditation, a leading organization established in autumn 1994 by key industry stakeholders from Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. From its inception, FIBAA's objective has been the development of stringent quality assurance guidelines in the field of higher education.
The accreditation process for the Management Program involved extensive documentation collection and a thorough visitation, taking approximately two years to complete. The visitation, conducted from March 14 to March 16, 2023, during an online meeting, took place at the Senate Meeting Room and General Administration Hall of Muhammadiyah University Malang. During this period, the Management Program's team participated in validation interviews to align the submitted Self-Evaluation Report (SER) with the actual practices implemented by the program.
Dr. Nurul Asfiah, M.M., the Head of Management Program, expressed her appreciation for the collaborative effort involved in achieving the accreditation. "The consistent and collaborative work of the entire team, including the leadership, task force, and the Accreditation and Ranking Unit of Muhammadiyah University Malang, has been extraordinary," she stated. Dr. Nurul also acknowledged the immense satisfaction derived from the demanding yet fruitful journey, remarking, "This lengthy and challenging process has yielded remarkable results."
The attainment of international accreditation not only marks a notable achievement for the Management Program but also serves as a catalyst for further motivation. It is hoped that this recognition will inspire the Management Program to continually deliver excellence and provide exceptional educational experiences for both its students and the esteemed Muhammadiyah University Malang.
