Realizing Internationalization, Management Study Program Benchmarking to the Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia

Sunday, 28 May 2023 - Internationalization is currently a demand for a higher education institution if it wants to be competitive on the world stage. One of the universities with an international vision is Muhammadiyah University of Malang. Through one of its study programs, the Management Study Program, it started participating in the AUN-QA certification activities in 2018, followed by international accreditation activities in March 2023 with FIBAA Germany. The Management Study Program continues to support the goal of internationalization, and one of the activities carried out is benchmarking with universities abroad, including Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

The benchmarking activity was held on 26 May 2023, with the collaboration team consisting of the Head of Management Study Program Dr. Nurul Asfiah., M.M, Secretary of Management Study Program 1 Dr. Iqbal Robby., M.M. Secretary of Management Study Program 2 Novi Puji Lestari., M.M, Vice Dean III FEB UMM, who is also a lecturer in the Management Study Program, Dr. Eko Handayanto., M.M, and Fika Fitriasari., S.E., M.M, who is a lecturer in the Management Study Program and a PhD student at Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia was represented by Dr. Mohd Husaimi, who is also the Vice-Chancellor for Cooperation, and Dr. Syifa, who is a lecturer in the Management Study Program at the university. "We welcome the UMM Management Study Program's plan to collaborate with us," said Husaimi. The Head of UMM Management Study Program also conveyed that the collaboration activities include student exchange, collaboration in research between lecturers and students, and even student service activities.

This collaboration will be followed up with handling the cooperation in Jakarta on 6-7 June, as well as the international seminar MIICEMA, which is a collaboration between Indonesia and Malaysia in the field of economics.
