Malang, May 6 2024 - The Management Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FEB UMM) organized a Workshop with the theme "Curriculum Reconstruction to Strengthen International Competitiveness." The event, held at The Onsen Hot Spring Batu Hotel, aimed to reconstruct the curriculum based on Outcome Based Education (OBE), Independent Campus Learning (MBKM), and Center of Excellence (CoE) in the face of the digital era and to adapt to changes in the world of education.
The annual workshop was attended by all lecturers of the Management Program at FEB UMM. The opening of the event was conducted by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UMM, Prof. Dr. Idah Zuhroh, M.M., followed by guidance from Vice Rector 1 UMM, Prof. Akhsanul In’am, Ph.D., on Problem Based Learning and Project Based Learning models to encourage students to complete their studies on time.
The next activities involved the Head of the Management Study Program, Dr. Nurul Asfiah, M.M., and representatives from the Business and Industrial World (DUDI), Mr. Dien Laudra Agreddyk from PT. Tirta Sukses Investama, who provided input on the curriculum and Vision Mission Objectives and Strategies (VMTS). This was followed by presentations from the Chairman of the Management Department at Airlangga University, Mr. Gancar C Premananto, CMA, on the review of the vision, mission, objectives, and strategies of the management program.
The presentation of material on curriculum reconstruction based on OBE, MBKM, and CoE was conducted by Mr. Dr. Marsudi, MM, and Dr. Nurul Asfiah, MM. Meanwhile, the process of thesis SOP and scriptpreneurship was presented by Mrs. Dra. Sri Nastiti, M.M., and Mr. Immanuel Mu'amal. The event concluded with a presentation on the progress of international classes by Mrs. Dr. Rizki Febriani, M.M.
In her address, the Dean of FEB UMM, Prof. Dr. Idah Zuhroh, M.M., expressed her hope that the Management Program Workshop could develop a curriculum that is in line with the demands of the current era, especially for students of the Management Program, in order to strengthen international competitiveness.
