CoE UMM Students Design Flowchart for Indonesian Frozen Food Company

Malang, June 10, 2023 - Students from the Center of Excellence (CoE) Supply Chain Management Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) have recently designed a flowchart for a frozen food company in Indonesia. This initiative aims to help students understand the workflow of a company, starting from the procurement of raw materials to the creation of finished goods ready to be received by consumers.

In this learning process, students are asked to explain the company's workflow, identify any possible challenges that may occur during the production process, and find ways to overcome these challenges. Thus, it is expected that students will be able to apply the knowledge gained in their future careers.

The designed flowchart covers the entire production process, from raw material procurement, processing, packaging, to the distribution of frozen food products to consumers. In addition, students are also expected to pay attention to sustainability and efficiency aspects in the production process.

This initiative is expected to enhance students' understanding of the company's operating system and help them face the challenges that may be encountered in the industrial world. Moreover, the flowchart's results can serve as an evaluation and input for Indonesian frozen food companies to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of their production processes.
